Work

I love helping organizations that are doing work that matter improve their digital presence and make it accessible and welcoming to everyone.

Primary, I work for FHI 360, supporting the English Access Microscholarship Program (Access) systems team as a business systems analyst 2. Through testing, requirements gathering, documentation, training and more, I help the team and the program provide English-language skills to talented 13- to 20-year-olds from disadvantaged sectors around the world.

In addition, I am a recent graduate of Penn State’s Homeland Security – Public Health Preparedness master’s program. My research focuses on Lassa virus and Boko Haram activity in Nigeria. My abstract from this work was named the best poster presentation at the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine’s 2019 Congress in Brisbane, Australia.

I am also the owner of a full-service web support company called Technical Penguins and the co-founder of a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit called Pengins for Everyone.

My specialties/interests include accessibility, web development, writing, editing, social media, staff management, project management, public speaking, content management, SEO, WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Microsoft Office, Adobe CC, customer service, community news, personal finance, debt reduction, unschooling, virology, Lassa, Boko Haram, giving away stuffed penguins, sending postcards, martial arts and mathematics. To name a few.
